This Pinot Noir has been sourced from sites located in the cool climate region of Denmark Western Australia. The Harewood vineyard, planted in 1988 is a warmer site and is complemented by the higher altitude, more maritime Apricus Hill vineyard, planted in 1995. Planted with the clone D5V12 the grapes tend to have a thinner skin than the Burgundian clones resulting in a sweeter pinot with lighter colour, softer tannins and perfumed aromatics. Maturation took place in a mix of new and older French oak barriques for 6 months.

An early drinking Pinot packed with flavour.

Semi translucent dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. Fragrant aromas of ripe red cherries, fresh plum and ripe strawberries are followed by some anise and spice. Light to medium weight with great flavour intensity the palate boasts fruity ripe dark cherry, dark plum and anise flavours over a tinge of earth with a very spicy finish. Excellent power with a long aftertaste of spicy ripe dark cherries, dark plum and spicy anise. Great Value.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
