2015 Giant Steps Sexton Vineyard Chardonnay

Elegant, yet rich and powerful this a superb Chardonnay from an Outstanding vintage in the Yarra Valley.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Delicate white peach notes merge into dried honey, light cashew and biscuity gunflint characters with spicy nougat end notes. The palate has an elegant creaminess to textural feel, exhibits outstanding length and there’s an understated richness to the fruit. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe white peaches, dried honey, cashew and biscuity oak stretch across the breadth of the palate with subtle nougat and gun flint infusions also present. Clean dry finish with very well balanced acidity. Long conclusion of ripe white peaches, dried honey, cashew, biscuity nougat and flinty mineral.
