Grüner Veltliner is Austria’s most important grape variety making up approximately one third of the country’s total production. In Wachau in general and at Domäne Wachau in particular, this percentage is even higher at more than 50%. A multiplicity of styles can be produced from the Grüner Veltliner grape, a prime example being those under the Federspiel classification which have a maximum alcohol content of 12.5%.

Brilliant very pale straw colour with a light greenish tinge around the edges and a watery hue. Nosing reveals aromas of pear alongside hints of lime, lychee, musk, honeysuckle and mineral. Light across the palate with good freshness on the finish, racy flavours of pears, lime and subtle lychees are to the fore followed by some faint musk infusions and spice. Clean dry finish with crisp acidity. Aftertaste of pears, lime, a hint of lychees, subtle musk and spice.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc 12.5%
