2015 Decelle Villa Bourgogne Pinot Noir

Made from several parcels selected throughout Burgundy, Bourgogne Rouge Decelle-Villa is essentially composed of vineyard pockets located in small villages such as Mercurey, Ladoix-Serrigny or Savigny. One of the trademarks of the 2015 Burgundies is their great depth of colour and this is no exception displaying a deep dark red black tinged core with a bright dark red hue. Aromas of dark and sour cherries as well as violets intermingle with earth, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight the palate features a generous mix of dark and sour cherries intertwined with subtle scorched earth infusions, fresh herbs and spicy cedar. The finish is dry with bright acidity and fine but slightly chalky tannins. Aftertaste of dark and sour cherries, dried herbs, subtle scorched earth and spicy cedar.
