Other Reviews....
Dedicated biodynamic farmers with their stellar site set at 600-or-so metres above sea level in the cool upper reaches of Macedon Ranges. The wine is made with no additions, adjustments or chicanery. Typically, Cobaw chardonnay is full flavoured, generous, a touch savoury. No disappointment here. I’d be all over this if I had to sell wine out there in the public sphere. Stacks in character and quality, from a good place and good people.
Genuine chardonnay flavours, ripe apple, grapefruit, candied mixed citrus peel, touch of honey, popcorn suggestions. Loads going on in the big, bold bouquet. Day two is best drinking where the various components integrate, giving a little chalky cut and saline acidity to come forth and tame the opulent fruit flavours. Oily, full weight, yet fresh, this is a glorious expression of chardonnay that stains the palate with lavish fruit character. Lush, delicious, decadent, yet still speaking of its cool origins in closing fresh and bright. Super.
