2015 Clos Clare Watervale Riesling

2015 is shaping up to be an outstanding vintage for Clare Riesling. Fruit is sourced from 44 year old vines located on a 5 acre dry grown block that adjoins Jim Barry’s Florita vineyard. Brilliant water like colour with a very faint greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Lively lemon and lime aromas are intermixed with some green apple, a hint of orange and talcy mineral. Showing very good intensity, fresh crunchy palate flavours of lemon and lime feature over a touch of orange rind, talc and mineral with zesty acidity on the finish. Long aftertaste of lemon, lime, talc and mineral.
Drink now or cellar 6-8 years.
