Totally opaque midnight black core with a deep dark red black hue. Brooding aromas of liquorice, ripe blackberries and subtle dark chocolates show excellent intensity followed by smoky vanillin oak, traces of earth and pepper. Full bodied and richly textured, luscious flavours of blackberries, liquorice and dark plums flood the mouth with underlying spicy vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper. Velvet like yet sturdily built tannins give the wine its framework. Excellent power with a long aftertaste of ripe blackberries, liquorice, dark plums, spicy vanillin cedar, fennel and pepper.
