Fruit was hand harvested from 32 year old vines and fermented with wild yeasts in a combination of new, second and third use barriques. 60% of the blend underwent malolactic fermentation and it was matured in the same oak barrels for 11 months.

Brilliant pale straw to straw colour with a slight glimmer of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. Aromas of grapefruit and nectarine are overlaid by some flinty characters with hints of biscuity oak and spice also present. On the palate there’s good intensity to the flavours of nectarine and white peach which sit over traces of dried honey biscuity oak and subtle flinty citrus characters. There’s a light creaminess to the mid palate but it finishes with a resounding freshness. Long aftertaste of fresh white peaches, ripe nectarines, dried honey, subtle citrusy nougat and some flintiness.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc. 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Clone I10V1, hand-picked, wild yeast fermented in French oak (33% new), matured for 11 months. Quietly ticks all the boxes with certainty, the balance and length impressive, the flavour spectrum impeccable, the finish fresh. Drink by 2024.
