2014 Yangarra Old Vine Grenache

Sourced from vines planted in 1946 and certified organic. Very deep dark purple black colour with a bright purple red hue. Aromas of black raspberry and dark plum are followed by liquorice, a hint of scorched earth and spice. The palate’s muscular structure bares resemblance to top vintages of Clarendon Hills Romas, bursting with rich luscious dark raspberry and liquorice fruit that’s counterpointed by robust tannins and vibrant acidity. Also present are some dark plum and vanillin cedar flavours with a peppery finish. Firm rock like structure with excellent concentration and power. Long aftertaste of spicy dark raspberries, liquorice, crushed rock, vanillin cedar and pepper.
