2014 Yalumba Patchwork Barossa Shiraz

Opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red hue. The nose offers up aromatics of liquorice and black cherries subtlety infused with fennel followed by some vanillin confectionary and faint smoky cedar notes. Medium to full bodied with good mid-palate richness and a slippery mouthfeel the palate features flavours of liquorice, black cherries and plums over some spicy vanillin cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Concludes with a medium to long aftertaste of liquorice, plums, vanillin cedar and spice.
