2014 Yabby Lake Vineyard Single Vineyard Pinot Noir

Semi translucent dark red colour with a bright crimson purple hue. Pronounced ripe dark cherry and dark plum aromas are intermixed with anise overlaid by toasty oak, meaty characters and spice. The palate delivers a level of richness and ripeness that belies the modest 12.5% alcohol. Generous supplely textured flavours of dark cherries and dark plum are overlaid by subtle anise and toasty oak with some spice and a touch of meatiness on the back palate. Silky smooth perfectly integrated tannins. Excellent power wave with a long finish of ripe dark cherries, dark plums, anise, some toasty oak, meatiness and spice.
