Matured for 20 months in French oak barrels. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Lifted blackcurrant, ripe mulberry and black olive aromas overlay some liquorice, cedary tobacco characters and spice. Medium bodied the palate is surprisingly elegant and structured for McLaren Vale Cabernet featuring flavours of blackcurrant, mulberries, cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and spice. Dryish finish with firmly built tannins providing structure for the long haul. Long refined aftertaste of spicy blackcurrant, mulberries, cedary tobacco characters, black olives and dried herbs.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 13.5%

Other Reviews….
Underrated by many, McLaren Vale produces some very fine cabernet sauvignons, and this is one of them. Beautifully fragrant with red berry/mulberry and a leafy note. The palate is medium to full-bodied, superfine tannins roll on and on, ably backed by blackcurrant and cassis. Drink by 2034.
