2014 West Cape Howe Tempranillo

Fruit was sourced from the Perth Hills & Frankland regions. Totally opaque black crimson colour with a deep dark crimson red hue. Nosing reveals ripe dark cherry and liquorice aromas with vanillin cedar overtones and spice end notes. Medium weight the generous fruit flavours have a juicy character about them with things firming up a little towards the finish. Flavours of ripe dark cherries, plum and vanillin cedar are followed by some faint earth and spice. Dryish but fine grained earthy tannins provide some grip on the back palate. Aftertaste of ripe dark cherries, vanillin cedar, earth and spice.
