2014 Voyager Estate Shiraz

Matured for 12 months in new and old oak. Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a deep dark purple hue. Elevated blackberry and liquorice aromas tinged with a hint of ripe blueberry rise from the glass. Smoky earth, vanillin cedar and pepper follow on. Medium bodied flavours of blackberry and liquorice meld into an earthy vanillin cedar component with some dried meats and spicy pepper also evident. Elegant mouthfeel with dryish fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy blackberries, liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and peppered dried meats.
