Bottle
$419.88 Dozen
Cellar: Drink now - 8 Years (2020-2028)

The Stevens “Glenoak” vineyard is situated on a combination of light sand and red clay soils. The vineyard is dry grown with the earliest plantings being 1911.

Brilliant water like colour with a distinctive greenish tinge around the edges. Lifted lime juice and granny smith apple aromas show good intensity as they meld with wet steel, lemon and mineral notes. Racy lime, green apple and lemon flavours are supported by wet steel and flinty mineral characters. Dry crisp finish with a long mouth watering aftertaste that sees hints of toast emerge.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.
Alc. 12%

Other Reviews….
A famous wine in the context of the Tyrrell's semillon portfolio, a wine of long standing and - curiously - the only single vineyard semillon to be machine-harvested. It has a distinct citrus core allied with minerally acidity, and responds well to lengthy cellaring. Drink by 2030.

Perky young fruit driven nose, almost peachy, lemony and well rounded. It sports plenty of juicy flavour (in the context of Hunter Sem), fine acidity, and very good length. Crunchy juicy finish, that, when compared with the other 2014 Tyrrell’s Semillons, is slightly rugged and coarse; time will revolve such minor quibbles. Strong release. More to come. Drink by 2034.
