Rich and savoury with an opulent textural feel.

Fruit for Tscharke’s 2014 Estate Shiraz is sourced from their Stonewell property with 30% of the fruit fermented as whole bunch. Maturation took place for 12 months in large format oak.

Totally opaque black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. Intensely aromatic liquorice and dark plum scents are married to smoky oak and fennel with nuances of faint clove and spicy pepper following on. Rich with a slippery textural feel the palate is amply endowed with liquorice, dark plum and blackberry flavours infused with smoky oak and traces of clove over a backdrop of spicy blackpepper and dried meats. Silky smooth tannins. Long savoury aftertaste of liquorice, dark plums, smoky oak, subtle dried meats and spicy pepper.
