Totally opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Lifted top notes of liquorice and mocha run into some toasty vanillin oak followed by some spicy pepper. Big and rich for the region the opulent fruits are supported by a stern tannin structure that imparts some firmness and grip to the otherwise opulent mouthfeel. Concentrated ripe blackberry and liquorice flavours dominate over subtle dark chocolate, toasty vanillin oak, nuances of black olive and lots of blackpepper. Dry chewy finish with an aftertaste of blackberries, liquorice, black olives, toasty vanillin cedar and blackpepper.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 14.7%

Other Reviews….
Deep, vivid crimson-purple; plucks all the strings of the cello that celebrates Frankland River shiraz, the melody soaring and descending, the drums providing the heartbeat of the wine. It so mesmerises you that the alcohol escapes unnoticed, leaving fused black and red cherry fruits, licorice and pepper. Drink by 2039.
