Fruit is sourced from “Côte du Py” in the hamlet of Morgon, located on a very sunny site facing east and southeast with vines aged between 25-60 years. The wine is matured in tanks or large old barrels for 4-5 months with no fining or filtration taking place.

Deep dark red colour with tinges of black around the outskirts, showing good depth for Beaujolais, with a bright dark crimson red hue. Aromatically the nose is scented with lifted dark cherries and some raspberries laced with incense followed by scorched earth and spice notes. Light to medium weight and well fruited the palate features spicy dark cherry and incense flavours over some scorched earth and dried herb infusions. Good fresh finish with slightly dryish fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, dried herbs and earth.
Drink over next 2-3 years.
Alc 13%
