A blend of 77% Grenache, 15% Mataro and 8% Shiraz with maturation taking place in older French Hogsheads for 20 months. Opaque dark red black colour with a very dark red hue. Perfumed aromas of dark plums, black raspberries and liquorice laced with hints of violets are followed by subtle leather, scorched earth and spice notes. Medium to full bodied, rich and supple in the mouth, the palate is flooded with succulent dark plum, black raspberries and liquorice flavours which overlay a background of leather, earth and spicy dried herb infusions. Velvet smooth but structured tannins. Long aftertaste of spicy dark plums, black raspberries, liquorice, earthy vanillin cedar and leather.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
