2014 Torbreck The Gask Shiraz

Opaque black dark red colour with a dark red hue. Elevated aromatics of dark plum and liquorice are infused with notions of dried clove followed by vanillin cedar, some meatiness and spicy pepper. Rich and supple yet quite elegant for a Torbreck red the palate dishes up a savoury flavour profile of dark plum and liquorice which are interlocked with whole bunch characters of dried cloves followed by some smoky cedar, dried meats and pepper. Slightly dryish finish with velvet smooth tannins. Medium to long aftertaste of ripe plums, liquorice, dried clove infusions, smoked meats, spicy vanillin cedar and pepper.
