2014 Tim Smith Mataro Grenache Shiraz

Deep dark red black colour with a brick red hue – quite advanced for a 2014. Ripe dark cherries, plum and raspberries combine with some liquorice, earth, vanillin cedar and spice. Medium weight with a soft rounded mouthfeel the palate features generous flavours of spicy dark plums and dark raspberries intermixed with liquorice over some earthy vanillin cedar. Velvet smooth tannins. Good richness and depth with a long aftertaste of earthy dark plums, dark raspberries, liquorice, vanillin cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
