2014 Thistledown Great Escape Chardonnay

Brilliant pale straw colour with a greenish tinge around the edges and watery hue. Rich ripe peach and honeycomb aromatics blossom from the glass followed by some light cashew and citrusy nougat notes. Medium bodied flavours of nectarines and grapefruit run into some light honeycomb and citrusy nougat characters. There’s a sense of creaminess to the mid palate but the finish is fresh. Aftertaste of nectarine, honeycomb and citrusy nougat.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
