2014 Tapanappa Foggy Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir

Aged in French oak barriques of which 30% are new. Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark crimson hue. Potent aromas of ripe dark cherries, subtle violets, dark plum and anise are complemented by toasty oak and spice. Big in weight the palate offers up bold flavours of ripe black cherries and dark plums intermixed with toasty oak and anise over a spicy finish. The toasty oak poking out a little too much at present. Fine grained, solidly built tannin structure. Aftertaste of black cherries, toasty oak, dark plum and spicy anise. A bold toasty Pinot.
