2014 Summerfield Merlot

Includes 30% whole bunch. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a bright dark red black tinged hue. Pronounced plummy blackcurrant aromas sit alongside some stemmy cedar like notes followed by faint earth and spicy dried herbs. Medium bodied with a soft supple textural feel the palate features savoury flavours of plummy blackcurrant overlaid by stemmy cedar, light earthy tobacco and spice. Very fine grained velvet like tannins. Slightly dryish finish. Aftertaste of plummy blackcurrant, spicy cedar, some stemmy dried herb like characters and tobacco.
Cellar 3-4 years.
