One of the first wineries on the Mornington Peninsula, Stonier was established in 1978 by the Stonier family, who were pioneers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in the region. The 2014 Chardonnay was predominately matured in French oak barriques for a period of 9 months with a portion also fermented in stainless steel in order to give the wine a touch of freshness to counter balance the textured mouthfeel.

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of delicate white peaches, subtle dried honey and cashew with a toasty overlay and spice end notes. Medium weight with good freshness and a slightly creamy texture the palate has flavours of white peaches, cashew, light toastiness and spice. Clean dry finish with a long aftertaste of white peach, cashew, dried honey and light spicy toasted oak.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
Alc 13%
