Sourced from various sections of the Schubert vineyard the packaging of this wine gives the appearance that it has no labels whatsoever. Both the back and front label of this wine are totally black with the text almost invisible to the naked eye unless you take a closer look under a bright light.

Magnificent saturated inky black as night heart that’s completely impenetrable with a very deep dark purple black hue. Heady dark plum top notes are laced with liquorice and dark chocolate aromas followed by toasty vanillin oak and lightly scorched earth with spicy pepper end notes. Densely concentrated and very powerful the hugely weighted palate is packed with rich, lusciously textured flavours of dark plums, liquorice and sweetly ripened blackberries underpinned by toasty vanillin oak, a touch of earth and spice. The tannin structure is quite rigid but largely concealed by the decadent layers of fruit. Very long succulent aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice, blackberries, chocolatey vanillin oak and spice.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc 14.5%
