Totally opaque midnight black core with a bright purple red hue. Blackpepper infused aromas of liquorice and dark berries are followed by dried meats and hints of spicy dried clove. Medium to full bodied with a restrained meaty like mouthfeel, blackberry and liquorice fruits are overlaid with spicy dried meats, hints of dried clove and blackpepper. Dry finish with sturdy, slightly chalky tannins giving the back palate some grip. Aftertaste of blackberry and liquorice infused with dried meats, blackpepper and scorched earth.

Other Reviews….
Hand-picked and sorted, open-fermented, 40 days on skins, matured in French barriques for 10 months. Bright, deep crimson-purple; a highly focused medium to full-bodied palate follows the expressive black fruit bouquet. The texture and structure have a rectitude with overtones of cool-grown cabernet. Drink by 2030.
