2014 Serafino Magnitude Shiraz

Matured in a combination of French and American oak for 20 months. Impressive pitch black core with a deep dark purple black tinged hue. Lifted liquorice, black cherry and blackberry aromas meld into toasty vanillin oak followed by spicy pepper notes. Dense, very concentrated and rich, the opulently textured palate is awash with ripe blackberry, liquorice and black cherry flavours which merge into a rear guard of smoky vanillin cedar, earth and pepper. Velvet smooth yet structured tannins and finely tuned acidity provide a good framework. Concludes with a long finish.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
