Immigrants to Australia in the 1960’s from Italy where his family were farmers, Joe Petrucci, purchased his first vineyard in 1976. Today the Petrucci family’s vineyard holdings have expanded to 110 acres with the majority of fruit sold off to other wineries with the exception of selected small parcels of high quality fruit which are used to make wines under their own label, Sabella. The name Sabella is a pseudonym which has travelled with the Petrucci family name for over six generations.

A Marvellous rich, chewy McLaren Vale Shiraz with plenty of pepper and spice that exceeds all expectations at its price point.

Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. The nose offers up scents of black cherries, liquorice, dried meats, smoky cedar and blackpepper. Rich and densely concentrated with a chewy finish the palate boasts sumptuous ripe black cherry and liquorice flavours intermixed with meaty characters and smoky vanillin cedar concluding with a burst of blackpepper. Outstanding richness and depth for the price. The solidly built tannin base absorbing the wealth of fruit providing support and some grip. Long black cherry, liquorice, dried meat, smoky cedar and blackpepper aftertaste.
Drink over the next 5-6 years.
