2014 Principe Corsini Le Corti Chianti Classico

The family behind Villa Le Corti, the Corsini Family, has an amazing history as winemakers that dates back to the 13th century making it one of the oldest Estates in Tuscany. Current custodian of the Corsini Empire is 22nd generation Duccio Corsini.

Deep dark red black tinged colour with a dark red hue. The nose shows good aromatic lift with scents of red and dark cherries melding into hints of dried herbs, old dusty cedar, earth and spice. Medium bodied, elegant and very savoury the palate features red and black currant flavours which are interwoven with dark cherries over a background of earth, subtle dried herb infusions and spicy old cedar. A very refined tannin structure and perfectly balanced acidity carries the fruit beautifully. Long aftertaste of red currant, dark cherries, subtle dried herbs, earthy old cedar and spice. A beautiful example of Chianti Classico that impresses with its savouriness and immediate drinkability.
