2014 Petaluma B&V Vineyard Shiraz

Matured for 16 months in French oak of which 65% was new. Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep bright dark red hue. Pronounced aromatics of ripe blackberries, dark chocolate and liquorice jump from the glass with following vanillin oak and spicy mocha notes. Big and rich with an opulence that’s more akin to McLaren Vale than Adelaide Hills the palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice and dark fruits with underlying vanillin oak and spicy mocha. Supple textural feel with velvety tannins and low acidity. Long aftertaste of spicy dark chocolate, liquorice, dark fruits, mocha and vanillin oak. A rich opulent Adelaide Hills Shiraz.
