Matured in new American and French oak for 28 months. Pitch black heart with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Heady scents of liquorice, blackberries and black plum escape from the glass with toasty vanillin oak, dark chocolate and spicy mocha in hot pursuit. The full bodied palate is engulfed with rich liquorice allsort, blackberry and black plum fruits which have a silken and opulent feel. Lying underneath is toasty vanillin oak, dark chocolate, fennel and spicy mocha. Velvet smooth yet finely structured tannins with a long powerful conclusion.
