2014 Oliver's Taranga Vineyards Corrina's Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon

This blend of 59% Shiraz and 41% Cabernet Sauvignon displays an impenetrable inky black core with a deep very dark red black hue. Potent blackberry and ripe blackcurrant aromas are overlaid by a hint of liquorice with ensuing earthy cedar, tobacco and spice notes. Despite the higher proportion of Shiraz in the blend it’s the Cabernet Sauvignon that dominates the flavour profile. Full bodied, rich ripe blackcurrant flavours are to the fore alongside some blackberry and liquorice with underlying smoky cedar, tobacco and spicy earth. Chewy mouthfeel with solidly built tannins. Excellent depth with a long conclusion of ripe blackcurrant, subtle liquorice, earthy cedar and spicy tobacco infusions.
