Impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black hue. The nose offers up aromas of aniseed intermixed with dark plum and black cherry over some toasty oak and spice. Rich and voluptuously textured the palate is bursting with ripe fruit flavours of liquorice, dark plums and black cherries followed by toasty oak and a quite spicy finish. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent depth with a long aftertaste of liquorice, dark plums, toasty oak and spice.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
