2014 Mt Difficulty Bannockburn Pinot Noir

Good depth displaying a bright dark red colour and a crimson purple hue. Fragrantly scented the nose offers up intense aromatics of ripe dark cherries, dark plum and strawberries subtlety laced with anise and violets followed by spicy, lightly toasted oak end notes. Light to medium weight with a rich core of ripe dark cherries, plum and anise which overlays a back drop of spicy meatiness and lightly smoked cedar. Supple textural feel with a slightly dryish finish and very fine grained tannins verging on being velvet like. Excellent power finishing long with an aftertaste of dark cherries, dark plum, spicy anise, dried meats and cedar.
