Grapes for “The Gaffer” have been sourced from vineyards from a variety of McLaren Vale’s best sites.

Deliciously ripe, plump and juicy

Totally opaque inky black colour with a deep dark red black hue. Expressive aromas of dark plums, blackberry and liquorice greet the nostrils followed by a hint of choc mint and spicy vanillin oak. Rich, plump and juicy with terrific fruit purity the palate is flooded with deliciously ripe fruit flavours of blackberry, dark plum and liquorice which prevail over a backdrop of vanillin cedar and spice. Soft supple mouthfeel with silky smooth tannins and a long aftertaste of ripe blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, subtle toasty vanillin cedar and spice.
Drink over the next 4-5 years.
