2014 Morgan Vineyards Merlot

Opaque bright dark red black colour with a very dark crimson red hue. Lifted aromas of ripe mulberries and blackcurrant are met by vanillin cedar with hints of earth and spice also present. Medium bodied the palate is quite ripe with initial flavours of mulberry and blackcurrant met by a wall of vanillin cedar followed by some spice on the dryish finish. Slightly firmish but fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of vanillin cedar, mulberries, light blackcurrant and spice.
Cellar 4-5 years.
