2014 Moorooduc Estate Pinot Noir

Showing excellent depth of colour for the varietal the wine displays a dark red core with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Very perfumed nose with aromas of violets, ripe dark cherries, strawberries and anise blossoming from the glass followed by a subtlety smoked meatiness and spicy cedar. Light to medium weight and very supple in the mouth, ripe dark cherry and strawberry flavours glide across the palate over a backdrop of spicy anise and meaty, lightly toasted cedar. Finishes with good brightness and velvet smooth tannins. Excellent length with a long aftertaste of spicy dark cherries, bright strawberries, some anise, dried meats and toasty cedar.
