2014 Maude Pinot Noir

Sourced from a variety of  Central Otago's sub regions with each making it’s own unique contribution to the final blend, maturation took place in French oak barriques (30% new) for a period of 10 months. Deep dark red purple colour with a bright purple red hue. Pronounced aromas of anise intermixed with ripe dark cherries and dark plum are followed by hints of violets, some cedar and spice. Medium weight with abundant richness and generosity the palate boasts a fleshy textured flavour profile of ripe dark cherries, anise and dark plum over lightly toasted cedar and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Excellent power wave with a long aftertaste of anise, ripe dark cherries, dark plum and spicy cedar. Savoury, rich and velvety – Delicious!
