Impenetrable inky black core with a deep bright dark red black tinged hue. Aromas of ripe black cherries interlaced with liquorice overlay some inky scorched earth and spicy incense notes. Large scaled and richly fruited with a chewy textural feel the palate is over flowing with ripe black cherry and liquorice flavours which dominate over a back drop of scorched earth, incense infusions, dried meats and spicy pepper. A robust solidly built tannin base provides the framework to the extravagant levels of fruit. Long chewy aftertaste of spicy ripe black cherries, liquorice, incense infusions, dried meats and pepper.
