2014 Matahiwi Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Brilliant pale straw colour with a slight tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose displays aromas of kiwi fruit intermixed with grapefruit and citrus with some herbaceous end notes. Light and refreshing with kiwi fruit and grapefruit the dominate factors on the palate over a back drop of citrusy green apple and a touch of herbaceousness. The grapefruit component giving the wine a sense of sourness. Dry finish with crisp acidity and an aftertaste of grapefruit, citrusy green apple and herbaceous characters.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
