2014 M.Chapoutier Tournon Shays Flat Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Totally opaque black dark red colour with a deep dark red hue. Aromas of plummy blackcurrant are overlaid by some stemmy dried clove like characters with black olives and spicy dried herb notes also evident. Medium to full bodied with ripe plummy blackcurrant flavours to the fore, the palate then fades into stemmy dried herb characters with some spicy cedar and earth also present finishing a touch bitter. Firm, slightly astringent tannins with a moderate aftertaste of stemmy dried herb characters, subtle plummy blackcurrant, earth and spicy cedar.
