2014 M.Chapoutier Belleruche Cotes du Rhone

Mainly produced from Grenache and Syrah this Rhone displays a deep dark red black tinged colour with a bright purple red hue. Nosing reveals aromas of dark raspberries, liquorice, touches of incense and spicy earth. Light to medium weight the palate has flavours of dark cherries, raspberries and liquorice intermixed with scorched earth and pepper. Dryish finish with bright acidity and fine grained tannins. Aftertaste of spicy raspberries, scorched earth, faint liquorice and pepper.
