2014 was a vintage of exceptional quality, but very low yields in Tasmania which has resulted in drastically reduced allocations of Home Hill wines meaning supplies are going to be very lean on the ground.

Fresh off their Jimmy Watson Trophy win for the 2014 Kelly’s Reserve, it seems Home Hill can do no wrong and are fast establishing themselves as one of Australia’s top Pinot producers.

Semi translucent dark red black tinged colour with a bright crimson red hue. Evocatively perfumed aromas of ripe dark cherries infused with violets are followed by some dark plum, a touch of anise, spicy cedar and subtle incense. Light to medium weight the palate boasts fantastic richness and a power wave that just sails on and on. Mouthfilling flavours of ripe dark cherries flood the supplely textured mid palate with underlying meaty cedar, incense and spice also present. Bright fresh finish with outstanding length and fruit purity. Velvet smooth tannins. Very long aftertaste of spicy ripe dark cherries, dark plums, anise, meaty cedar and faint incense infusions. Very Limited stocks.
Cellar 5-6 years.
Alc. 13.5%
