2014 Hauner Salina Rosso

A blend of 60% Nero d’Avola and 40% Nero Mascalese. Opaque black dark red colour with a very dark red hue. Lifted ripe black and Morello cherry aromas run into earthy leather characters, scorched notes and spice. Medium bodied there’s good generosity to the black and Morello cherry fruit that sits over earthy leather characters, scorched elements and spice. Slightly dryish finish with grainy tannins and an aftertaste of ripe Morello cherries, earthy leather characters and spicy vanilla.
Cellar 2-3 years.
