2014 Gemtree Uncut Shiraz

Loaded with plush juicy fruit a solid framework underscores this rich McLaren Vale Shiraz.

Certified organic and matured in French oak for 18 months. Superb colour displaying an impenetrable inky black core with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Potent ripe blackberry and liquorice aromas fill the nostrils with some dark plum also chipping in over a background of vanillin cedar with spicy pepper end notes. Full of plump, juicy fruit the richly concentrated palate boasts mouthfilling flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice and dark plum over vanillin oak, a touch of dark chocolate and spice. Despite the opulent textural feel the velvet like tannins have a sense of sturdiness to them. Long spicy blackberry, liquorice, dark plum, vanillin oak and subtle dark chocolate aftertaste.
