Excellent colour saturation displaying an impenetrable black dark red core with a deep dark red black hue. Elevated aromatics of ripe blackcurrant laced with dried herbs drift out of the glass followed by dusty cedar, light tobacco and hints of bay leaf. Medium bodied with plenty of rich blackcurrant fruit underpinned by a dry sturdy tannin structure, nuances of cedary tobacco characters, dried herbs and spice are also evident. Finishes dry and earthy with an aftertaste of blackcurrant, dried herbs, subtle infusions of tobacco, spicy cedar and a faint trace of bay leaf.
Cellar 6-8 years.
Alc. 13.6%

Other Reviews…
The same vinification as its Reserve sibling, except that the French oak was mainly used. Deeply coloured; a striking, full-bodied cabernet, striking because, despite its weight and concentration, it is still immaculately balanced with classic cabernet tannins in play, and exactly measured. Drink by 2034.
