2014 Domaine Marc-Antonin Blain Chassagne-Montrachet

Brilliant pale straw colour with a tinge of green around the outskirts and a watery hue. The nose has an understated intensity displaying refined aromas of delicate white peaches, nectarines and citrus overlaid by light gun flint characters and a faint almond note with wet stone on the finish. Light to medium weight with a slight creaminess the palate has flavours of ripe nectarines and citrus intermingling with some dried honey characters over a background of subtlety roasted nuts and wet stone. Clean dry finish with good freshness. Plenty of finesse here showing excellent length with a long conclusion of ripe nectarines, citrus, dried honey and wet stone.
