2014 Dandelion Vineyards Menagerie of the Barossa Grenache Shiraz Mataro

A blend of 80% Grenache, 15% Shiraz and 5% Mataro with maturation taking place in old French oak for 12 months. Very deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. The nose offers up dark raspberry and plum top notes with a hint of liquorice also evident sitting over some spicy vanillin cedar. Juicy with a plush velvety mouthfeel the palate sports luscious dark raspberry, plum and liquorice flavours followed by vanillin cedar and spice. Silky smooth tannins. Good depth with a long ripe dark raspberry, plum, subtle liquorice and spicy vanillin cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 2-3 years.
