2014 Dandelion Vineyards Lionheart of the Barossa Shiraz

Matured for 18 months in predominately older French oak barriques. Totally opaque inky black dark red colour with a deep dark red black tinged hue. Scented aromas of liquorice and dark plums are intermixed with smoky cedar and peppered meats. Medium to full bodied, rich and opulent yet more elegant and savoury than the 2013 the palate has assorted ripe berry flavours including dark plums, dark cherries and liquorice over some smoky vanillin cedar, fennel infusions and spice. Velvet smooth tannins. Long aftertaste of dark plum, liquorice, smoky vanillin cedar, fennel and spice. An elegant seductive style of Barossa Shiraz.
